It is an interesting story. My landlady called me to ask to design a logo for her café. She planed to open café specializing in dumplings, pirogis and varenikis. It is the café for lover of Slavic cuisine and for those who want to try it without travelling to Russia and Ukraine.
By the way, she said, locals are tired of eating oysters and want to try something new.
I designed the logo in Slavic style to remind about home cooking with tales of Kolobok. Both Frenchmen and visitors now come to café to experience Slavic hospitality.

Café logo is designed in whimsical style.
The warm color palette is inviting and appetizing
Kolobok is a fairy tale character made of dough. The café offers a wide choice of vareniki, dumplings, pirogi, and sandwiches and other dishes made by traditional Slavic recipes.
The Kolobok on the logo is a bread bun dressed as a baker. He will bake and cook for the customers.
The fairytale character projects Slavic branding of café.
